Sharon is influenced by the beauty and elegance of Chinese ceramics. The colour and simplicity of design and their physical and visual strength.
Inspiration also comes from the landscape particularly on sunny days when colours are bright from the brilliant blue of the sky to crisp bright greens and earthy browns of the landscape
She uses traditional tenmoku glazes of the eastern tradition and surface decoration is produced using various techniques.
