David Venables

Seeking inspiration in everyday people, scenes and experiences whether a nostalgic reflection on 1950's working class Britain or a lively harbour scene in Scarborough, David lets the subject matter dictate the media and artistic style. Consequently David's drawings and paintings reflect a versatile talent with many chapters, working in all mediums from oils to charcoal.

David has created murals in Harrogate Pump Rooms, the Castle Museum in York, The Mansion House in Doncaster with restoration work at such places as the Canadian Embassy in Trafalgar Square, London, Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Yorkshire, the Royal Hall Theatre in Harrogate, the Richmond Theatre and Georgian Courthouse in North Yorkshire, Sheffield City Hall, Asprey's in Bond Street, St James's Palace and the Mansion House in London.
